Work experience

Daniel Shroff

Equipment

Primarily I use three lenses, all prime, a 55mm, 35mm and occasionally an 18mm. My primary body is a Sony A7siii. I chose this because of its unparalleled low light performance, fast autofocus and excellent video capabilities. My secondary body is an A7Sii, which also has fantastic low light performance but lacks phase detect autofocus which makes it much more difficult to use. Occasionally I’ll use my old Nikon D300 as well

ESA`

At ESA I worked with the media team, on photography, including editing and packaging for social media (adding watermarks, resizing and changing aspect ratios); and video work, primarily helping with the event finale video, I scheduled and recorded interviews, captured B-Roll and created timelines to help speed up assembly. I also mastered sound because I was the most qualified sound engineer on site.

Voles

Since it started I’ve been the primary photographer at Voles, beyond photography I’ve been known to capture video for social media and also run and drive musicians when unforeseen incidents occur (broken strings etc.)

Komedia

I’ve been shooting at Komedia for a long time, however this spring/summer I took on a role as house photographer for several of their shows, including performances from The Undertones and Crash Test Dummies

The Muso Awards

This year under mentorship from my friend Swan, I shot the muso awards at Camden’s Electric Ballroom. I assisted with capturing video for “The Lyla Journals” which was a podcast. As well as photographing artists, including Pete Doherty

A lot of my work is available to view in the galleries on this website
